This series has been inspired by my combined interest in abstract expressionist painting, prehistoric rock art, graffiti, the photography of Aaron Siskind and the philosophy of Minor White — “to photograph something not for what it is but for what it can become”. These images are made using a toy camera and exposing transparency film. The images are scanned and printed onto canvas. Images are approximately 18 X 20 inches. The following is a set of selected images from the “Roadsigns” Series.
