I have been photographing unique areas of the Southwestern United States for several years, using a multi-image panoramic technique-- three separate images that at first glance look like one panoramic image, but after closer inspection, reveal themselves to be different parts of a place pieced together. In reality a person can only view the landscape from a single point. With photography one can choose different points and put them together to be viewed as a single image or idea. Because they are pieces of a particular place viewed from different points, space and time can be expanded or condensed, in order to give the viewer a better chance of reconsidering their relationship to an ever-changing landscape.
Select pieces of this project are part of the permanent collection of the Southeast Museum of Photography, have won several awards and have been exhibited in several galleries nationwide.
